Were you surprised to hear that the Fatback DJs were booked to play a house party on Florida Ave NW this past Saturday? Us, too! Some guy apparently emailed half of Northwest to invite them to his party, claiming we were booked to DJ for him. Contrary to this email, however, none of us were booked to play there. Our apologies to anyone who went expecting to hear a set from us.

Update: We’ve been talking with some folks and it seems like this was all a big misunderstanding. Hope everyone had a great Saturday night, in any case, and February is going to be a big one for the House of Fatback. More on that front later today…

Gotta come down hard on that kinda fronter. You guys have a great thing going and the danger of over-exposure and dilution is there. Now folks bandwagoning on your good as gold rep is going to be increasingly tempting. Gotta stick together, keep it Fatback pure, and smack down those who would perpetrate.
